Since 2007, I have been an Educational Technology Specialist (formerly CTAP) at the Ventura County Office of Education. I am an active leader in the area of Digital Citizenship, having chaired the VCOE AUP Task Force, and co-creating, with Jane Mintz, of the CADigitalCitizenship course offered on CaliQity through K12HSN. Recently, an area of focus for me is protecting the privacy of student data, so I'm working on the deployment of the CA Student Data Privacy Alliance registry that allows all CA LEAs the opportunity to enter digital resources and the status in meeting CA and federal privacy regulations.
