Allison Yager is a blended 4th grade teacher at Walnut Canyon Performing Arts/Technology Magnet in Moorpark, CA. She received her Bachelor's in Home Economics with an emphasis in Nutrition in 1983 from Cal State University, Long Beach. After spending many hours volunteering with the Girls Scouts and her children's classroom as a computer lab and reading teacher, she decided to pursue her teaching credential in 1996 at Cal State University Dominguez Hills. Her passion of working with technology led her to pursue a Master of Educational Technology in May, 2012 from Boise State University. In addition a certificate in K12 Online Teaching was completed at BSU. Allison enjoys assisting her school district with technology needs by serving on the District Technology Committee. Her technology interests are teaching in a blended elementary classroom, software evaluation, and instructional design. Another interest that she has is assisting pre-service and colleagues in their quest of technology integration technology into existing curriculum. She presents emerging technologies at CUE, Gold Coast CUE, and at her district office. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and animals.
